1930’s home, virtually untouched for 80 years. The 1600 square foot home had a full basement below with a 7′ ceiling height. In order to get approvals to remodel, we had to move the home 3′ to the left and back away from the street 2′ to adhere to current setbacks. Once moved, we raised the home 8′, removed the old foundation, built a new foundation, a complete new first floor, and the existing home became the 2nd story. The existing structure was totally remodeled, turning this home into a 2 story, 4 bedroom, 4 1/2 bath, 3200 square-foot family-friendly house. Everything was totally replaced, including all new plumbing, electrical, and a dual zone heating system. The home now conforms to current FEMA flood zone requirements, allowing potential floods to flow under the house without interruption. The home has bamboo wood floors throughout, extensive crown moldings and trim details. This home has a dramatic before and after appearance.
